Fitting a BA SSS shifter into my NC. The problem is that i have N F I how the BA system works. I understand the E series setup, quite simple really but what is with this cable thing.

Where does the cable lead to?
Which end goes on the shifter and which goes to the gear box?

I don't understand why it must go through the firewall either. Mabey BA expert or dellboy will be able to help me!

The end with nothing on it goes to the shifter

The other end is all the brackets to mount to the gearbox.

To get the cable through the firewall i cut a small slit in the base of steering column to firewall plate in the top left corner (looking from the inside) and put the cable through the steering plate hole then put the plate back on (make sense)

You have a PM with mobile, call me if you are really stuck still.

Looks like a great mod.... so it basically gives you the option to turn your auto into a semi-auto/manual? (Don't know anything about the BA)
