the first of the fpv wheels had the fpv logo in the bottom corner. they removed that feature on either ba mk2 or bf. and went to the wheel i have now. that is actually off a territory turbo. but they use the same wheel on current fpv's. oh and its an ef
getting the horn to work and the airbag should be easy enough. the switches are going to be hard. ef/el cruise switches are open circuit, then when u press a button it closes the circuit at a certain resistance. may be 10ohm or 2500ohm. ba switches are always closed circuit and when u press a button they change resistance in the circuit. |

as long as the airbags respond the the same changes in voltage/resistance it shouldnt be a problem

Could you not just gut a set of BA switches and put in the EF EL swith gear? (ie EF electronics in the BA swithces??)
Only problem then would be the on off switch which is a totally different style of switch. Almost like a rocker??

I thought you aren't allowed to modify the steering wheel if there is an Airbag installed in it?

its ok to put in another wheel with an airbag, if that airbag functions correctly.

Wow, B series wheel looks awsome. Would the airbag respond to the EF's signals? Is the idicator stalk a pain in the a$$ to get to or is it all sweet?

Personally I'm thinking of doing the same and using a couple of the audio switches to do it as being for an el. {USERNAME} wrote: as long as the airbags respond the the same changes in voltage/resistance it shouldn't be a problem yeah, but I'm particularly curious about the duel firing whether it would kick the s**t because of it.If anybody has any technical info to add to this, I'm all ears, got 2 wheels and switch assemblies, 1 clockspring and airbag, and 2 deployed bags to lay with, so let us know.

DID IT! Just finished re designing the ba cruise switch so it works with EF/EL. Made the ba mode switch turn cruise off and ba cruise switch turn it on and evertyhing else is the same. I have photos i may put up if anyone is interested but can say now i spent about 10 hrs on these! If i get enough interest i will probably make more and do an exchange system?

Hey just wondering if you got the airbag worked out aswell or not.
Also keen on how you did the switches.

some pics of the process. My airbag is wired as normal. But have wired both stages to go off at once.
