My best thought, although a bit of a f**k around, remove those rear feet that come off the rails and make some new feet(maybe front aswell).
basically what we did with my mates hilux, cut the feet off, and bolted on new ones, ad i think tacked them up. Although, the hilux had rails at the same width, length, hence made it easy, this you have to fabricate, mounting bracket, and make sure there bloody well strong enough.

i see the difference in them, thanks for the pics ash. I think if you cut the seat brackets off the AU rails you could make something up to weld on and suit the BA seats. Not the easiest job but if you really wanted to do it, you could.

{USERNAME} wrote: No problem mate! Its definitely possible with some fabrication going on, no doubt about that. I just couldn't justify the time for the outcome. There was way too many other tasks way up higher on my list at the time. I don't think I'll sell my BA XR seats though. they are very nice to sit in. They may even end up in my XF. That would be an easier task then adapting to the AU I think. There is even a chance they may come close to bolting straight in, maybe? Lets leave that trial for another time. Yeah put them in the XF! that would look great and if you find a damaged seat at the wreckers you could get the d**k seat re trimmed . |

While I think the BA seats look good, to me there are numerous draw backs. All our utes at work are BA I & II's plus 1 FG, the BA's seats wear out as much as any of the older Falcons. Nearly all the BA back parts have rubbed through the material on the Right seat outer as they have since EA days and they are SO darn expensive to buy NEW parts to repair them. The bottom spring frame costs $275.00, the BASIC seat track and motor costs $930.00 for the drivers side and the silly side black trim breaks so easy, they cost $40.00.
I don't mean to be a downer but sheesh, so darn dear and so much trouble to go to to fit... I will stick with my standard AU seats. |

Personally I have only had 4 falcons over the last 10 years, all e series. I have never had a problem with the seats wearing or braking. You are describing Ute seats here right? A lot of utes are used as tradesman's cars and dont necessarily get looked after like a sedan would. But I know if I did need to repair my seats I would be buying the parts or even new second hand seats off ebay or the wreckers. |

Yes, that is true but it was just something I was thinking is all.
Like I said, I wouldn't want to deter anyone from getting them just a thought was all. |

Hey papa, its all good. But I did want to ask you do you have the computer program that has all the exploded diagrams and part numbers from ford cars?
You always seem to have part numbers handy along with prices |
