hi all, am wondering what front seats will fit into a ba xt with minimal mods? will a set from an au work? they look a bit wider in the base to me. if switching to higher ba models, will all the elctrics work? such as xr, fairmont, or fairlane seats?

au wont fit easily
BA XR seats will - they are different foam and are more comfier. How much work depends on what you get - you can put seats in with side airbags if you like and just not wire them up. If you wanted to have them working that involves alot of work

Hard but not impossible. We'll find out in the next few weeks/months.

This is another mod I did to my XT.
Replaced the entire wiring loom to a high series so I could add all the fancy stuff, so adding things like full electric seat, premium sound and dual zone a/c would be easier.

Which looms did you use? There's quite a few different versions with various different features. Did you ever write down part numbers?

Lukeyson Didn't write down any part number unfortunately but I know it was from a XR series BA. Darren from FTG sent all the parts needed. I originally converted my rear windows to electric but then added more pillar tweaters, rear sub, rear passenger map lights etc. The only additional loom I had to install was the dash loom for the dual zone a/c.

Ahh. OK.
I've done the dash loom for my DZ upgrade - changed to a BF Fairlane with NAVI. But my BA XR already had Premium Audio, and I expect to be selling them off at some point. I need, however, to put in main side Looms with Side Impact sensors and power to the passenger seat in order to support the Fairlane guts. I was hoping to get a RHS loom with NAVI but I'm out of luck there. My XR Loom also has the yellow connector for the PAM on the parcel shelf, and I'm after a loom with a Blue Connector. The Park Aid modules that work with the ICC to play through the speakers are much cheaper than the stand-alone modules. When i get around to it i want to make sure I do that right too. Anyway, we've hijacked this thread. I'll list the part numbers I have in the other thread I'm working in. Lukeyson |
