Hi
I'm interested in spraying my EF dash black - the plastic front bit including air vents etc to start with and on from there. What would be the best paint to get?
Cheers

the VHT carpet & vinyl dies only good for material that can absorb it such as carpet, soft vinyl etc..if your looking at painting your hard plastic panels id use a flexi primer (like plastic bumper primer - it remains flexible and wont crack the paint) and paint it with normal car paint and then give it a good couple of coats of clear...

I used plastic primer , available at repco or autobahn. Then just used the pressurepacks of touch-up paint.

G'day. I used the Satin black VHT colour die in my EL. It worked well for me. I just cleaned the dash with wax and grease remover first though.

yeah plastic primer n touch up paint works well just dont be in 2 much of a hurry 2 whack it back 2gether if its warm, unless u like sanding the bubbles out, although it has a nice effect...

note 2self: hurry up n respray cluster surrround

Would it be ok to use that plastic paint you can buy for your RC cars designed for the covers. That stuff stays flexiable.
My friend used some cheap-as-s**t paint and that cracked with a few hits but he got the proper tamiya aint and hes hit that fair hard and its fine.

What do you think.

sounds like it'd work to me. I used to have a few RC cars and that paint is pretty good stuff. Very pricey though...
