my seats have a fair few stains on them esp the drivers seat, as some tool sat in there repeatedly while covered in oil

was wondering whats the best way to go about cleaning them?

do i pull the covers of the seats? how?
use carpet cleaner while seat in the car? would the inner foam survive this?
give in and pay a professional to do it? i dont like this option

Just pay someone.....easier, and chances are they will do a better job with a shampoo machine than you could scrubbing with cleaner and rags. $50 tops and thats if they do your carpets too.
