Hey guys.
Interested in upgrading the audio system in my 2008 BF Ford Falcon and need some help with a few things. Im currently going for a 5 speaker system: - 2 front, possibly splits or 3 way - 2 rear, 3 or 4 way - 1 subwoofer I'm liking the sound and cost of pioneer speakers and it seems JB HiFi is doing a good sale on them. I have a few questions since I want to use the stock stereo since I dont want to add an aftermarket stereo: - will audio quality be good if I use amps to improve power. - what is the best way to wire up the remote wire, keeping in kind I am a noob to car audio and dont want to go over price on install. - is jb hifi install good? Any places you can recommend that are cheap? - will I need a sub with good back speakers. I want some bass but dont want to be a doof doof faggot. speaker list all pioneer: - 1200w sub and 400w amp (combo deal) - 3 way 3x9 400w back - 3 way 6" 300w front - 760w 4 way amp Thanks for the help! |

I had a lot of engine interference when I used the factory headunit with an aftermarket amp.
Remote wire is usually connected from a power source that turns on when the key hits accessories. Easiest way is to get a test light and look for a 4 socket plug above the pedals, and see which terminal switches on and off when you flick the key. Jb hifi would do that automatically on an install. |
