Hey everyone, was looking around for a black gear boot for my car and ford tells me you can no longer get the ELGT ones from them and there seems to be nothing on ebay anymore either :(

Except for this aftermarket one

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FALCON-EF-EL-AU- ... 240%3A1318

Anyone know anything about them or have one and can offer a general opinion on how good they are?

The price on these have gone up if you go through ford.

I was quoted $52.25 for it by sinclair ford

If worse comes to worse, it is part GTTVE 7277 A.

I'd keep trying to get the EL GT one.

I had one of those leather ones made by the same people for my Celica. It was ok, but not particularly nice, I'm sure the EL GT one is nicer. For the price, hunt one down.

Nice! Where did you end up getting the stuff from? I'd like one of those wheels too.

I found one ELGT Wheel at FTG Auto Salvage and also I think Grant Walker Parts had a few NU Fairlane woodgrain wheels (very similar to ELGT) around for cheap, they're both going to or are listed on ebay I think. The gear boot I picked up from Bayford Spare Parts in Coburg/Campbellfield, they said they had another one on hand as well if anyones interested.

I bought one of those eBay ones. It's nice and soft, I don't have a standard one to compare it with or anything.

Yeah the one they had was worn a fair bit on the RHS, they wanted 350 for it alfy, wasnt tooooo bad :) Keep an eye out on ebay atm for wheels. There's a couple NU fairlane ones floating round too that look awesome, it may be blasphemy but I like the look of them a little more

Hey dude, its bayfords coburg/campellfield. The number to call is 9297 5000. They seemed to also be able to order in more if you need be. Go nuts!
