Here's a pic of the globes i used and they fit the holders perfectly.
FYI: the odometer globe holder really grabs the old globes tight and my globe broke apon removal and also i had to use pliers to get the rest of the globe out.

Blue 100mm cold cathode neon's from Jaycar have worked the best in my car.
Much brighter and better spread of light than any LED set-up i have seen. Cost is about $100 though so i guess it's a bit dearer...

so you have neons in your cluster. Do you have any pics, any trouble fitting them, any problems with being To bright. I was thinking of some of that Flexi Glow stuff used for PC moding and in cars, placed around dials to give a better light spread & probably easy to fit then neons. Need to pull the cluster apart first to see if it will fit / Can be done.

$100 was for 6 x Cold cathode's and starters to suit...
Yes there is 6 of them in there and no problem with brighteness. it's very clear and even spread of light... Hard to get pics but when i have the car back i'll give it a go.

is there anything that you guys have found to stick behind your dials to change them blue other than Blue LEDs or a new face. I Mean like stick on the back of the face a Blue Lens or filter to come up blue so that the light is still dispersed even from standard globes and so that the red needles still show up nice and bright.
