Hi everyone i wanna put those blue globes behind my fairmont cluster the ones that are on ebay for like $10 is there anything i need to know about putting these in as i was told they can affect the colour of my warning lights like the oil light on the oil pressure gauge etc..

They have no effect on the warning lights at all, however the red segments on the oil pres, temp, fuel gauge and the redline part of the tacho will turn a very hard to see brown with the blue LEDs.
I used a blue filter (crepe paper, $1.99 from the newsagent) in my cluster, a fair bit more work involved. You have to disassemble the cluster and cut out the areas for the warning segments, lights and needles in the filter for it to work as mine has, but IMO the result is a lot better. It is possible to see them, I don't have any pics of it though. It just makes it hard to see and, in my opinion (IMO
 ) looks crap. The red segments I'm referring to are the redline on the tacho @ 5,500rpm and the red bits in the gauges e.g. where the temp needle goes when your radiator hoses blow and the motor starts to melt. The ones in my Fairmont cluster show up so well because I cut holes in the paper filter I used so the light (At the moment the stock globes, I will put some white LED's in to brighten it up later) shines through without changing color.

It's an EF Fairmont cluster with the gauge faces out of an EL and the white EF needles... all in an EF GLi wagon. So it's a bit of a mongrel..

with the blue leds what colour do the needles illuminate?

Blue if they are the White EF ones, (see my 1st pic of the GLi cluster) but from what I've heard the red EL ones tend to go the same crappy brown as the warning/redline markings. So either use the EF needles or you can take the EL ones out and scrape the red off the back of them. Some people have said nail polish remover works as well, I don't know because I've never had to do it.

JayCar electronics. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=ZD0384&keywords=t5&form=KEYWORD A lot easier than trying to solder LEDs into the existing holders. I wasn't 100% thrilled with the outcome, which is why I put a lot more work into the 'mont cluster. But personal preferences are different for everyone.
