Hey

i recently put a computer neon into my boot instead of having the little globe
i want to wire it to the boot lock, so when the boot is open it will come on but im not to sure on how to get that to work. If someone could please post me a diagram that would be awesome. 1995 Ford Future Sedan

Dude you should of just used the wires that went into the little light to power your neon, that's what I did.

yeah, when i done mine i just tapped into the boot light wires and disconnected the light globe from the holder. i also used a "water neon" also named "lightning neon" as it looke like running water in the boot.

Yeah i'd do the same thing as till. Use the existing wire that goes to the little boot light. Cut it and hook it up to ya neon.

i didnt cut mine, i put in blade terminals so that if i sell the car i can install the old boot light again

yes, the lights in cars are 12 volt, as are the neons, if you take out the bulb in the light you can read the metal casing its in and it will read 12V

Alrite, well its night time now.. and i cant really do it :P haha. parents having a party, so i cant put my car in garage :S i might go give it ago

I run a Figure8 wire from my cig ligther to back of the car, should remove that.? or just tuck it into my boot lining?

id remove it, if you keep it there, there is more of a chance of having short. which one day you will wake up and not have any battery power left.
