I have bought an aftermarket steering wheel, and im not sure on which boss kit to get, has anybody fitted one to an EL and which boss kit did you use.

an ebay link to a boss kit for my car would make it alot easier.
thanks

heres some pics of the steering wheel and the interior

i am near positive that like an after market wheel and boss kit are highly illegal on cause made with airbags from factory and also i sure that there isn't any like boss kits for EF/EL/AU sure you must convert steering column (and rack for a trouble free conversion) to a ED or EB or EA column.

best bet is to get the wheel retrimmed to suit.

as said, due to the illegality of it, i dont think there are any boss kits made to suit the EF>

message nlbxr6 (i think it is, the exterior paintwork guy with a sticky in the exterior forum) as he has an after market steering wheel in his.

Nope different shaft, shaft is keyed for only one wheel position unlike pre EF.

nice choice of wheel, matches the interior nicely... better than a re-trimmed stock item thats for sure

However still not something i'd fit as airbags can only be a good thing :)

May as well cancel you're insurance and save the money. Cause they won't want to know you.

Lol... I'm with you. You're a smart bloke and know what your getting your self into.

Why can't those with an answer to your simple question post up, and all others lay off with their own unwanted opinions. Which don't actually help you solve your problem.

These guys mention EF/EL. Might be worthwhile having a chat to them if you haven't already.

I'd be more worried about the lack of cruise control your change might bring. Cruise is like the best thing ever invented, next to microwaves and mobile phones.
