Actually i wouldn't mind switching to white if you can send me a set Hyena. That pic looked mint, and obviously it's not too bright or you'd have said something. Cheers.

Gday guys i got my pics back from the printer and the transparency stuff is totally clear and isnt going to block much light out just wondering what everyone else who has done this mod has used. Just so you know my standard globes lit up through the paper perfectly, too perfectly that the black bits were lit up.

i used 235g fuji plus photo paper in mine and it looks pretty good

plus i made a few changes like made it darker and added the pattern behind the other guages and added the "fairmont Ghia" symbol on the tacho

What's the red light in the middle of your fuel gauge ?

Did you use 2 layers of paper (ie a mask as well ?)
It looks like it's too bright of a night...

Ok I am also now using dials on the same material as Shoony and Hyena and I can say Forget about paper and transparencies!
This material is the way and you will never get results this good with normal paper.
It also has the added advantage over gloss paper of not causing glare in the sunlight which can occasionally render the dials unreadable and annoying.

Yeah fantastic stuff!

might have to try and make some for us high series boys!

RJ3820 - on the ba's the clusters have smd leds soldered in so you can only remove them with an extremely fine soldering iron

Where'd you buy the paper from Bug ? From a printer or did you find some elsewhere ?

Did you pay me for them ? I sent them out to those who paid, but I still have 2 sets here. I guess one was yours and I can't remember who else said they wanted a set but didn't pay. Quick guys, before I find other uses for them in my car :P

Any of you other guys running 8mm whites got any pics of how yours turned out ?
