No it requires a data from the EF/EL instrument cluster to function... Why not fit an EA-ED trip computer?

Cheers,
Tim

Well thats annoying then. I dont like the ea-d ones but if thats the only option i guess ill just have to. Might have to look into swappin the dash from ef fairmont parts car but didnt want the hassle of gettin it all to work. Im already installing the power windows and farmont doorskins so might just look into it

There is next to no difference between them... Why don't you like it? Do what half a dozen of us did and fit an ef/El cluster to your car if it's that big of an issue and changing the dash is an issue... You'll need to go through the hassle of changing the handbrake system and everything if you fit an entire dash...

Cheers,
Tim

Ive already modded the ef trip computer for the mrs car but removed it as she liked the orange over the blue. I will just get my hands on a square one and wire it in for awhile til i get round to either swaping the cluster over or going the whole hog and installing the ef dash.
Thanx for the help guys appreciated
