Hey does anybody know if AU XR steering wheel be fitted to ED column. Wiring and airbag are not an issue but just would like to know if the physical fit can be done as answers I have so far are inconclusive.

I'm gonna say no, I'm pretty sure you'll need a steering column out of an EF/EL as i'm pretty sure AU wheels fit them.

nope - benji is correct! EF/EL/AU are same, but will not fit EA-ED

I have (done) the mod. A bit more to it then swapping the steering colums... some wiring and coupling shaft mods have to be made as well. Definatly updates the interior though!!
