Hi guys.
I've done a bit of looking around and can't find anywhere in the forums where people have discussed what type of CD-R's work best in the factory BA CD player. I burnt a brand new CD-R of 15 songs onto a TDK disc last night, and when I went to play it this morning, it would skip and have alot of background crackling. On some songs, it would cease playing altogether and then change to Radio Mode!! Really weird. I had the same problem with LASER CD-R's, they were REALLY bad and just didn't play at all. What do people reckon is the go for getting reliable playback? Also, does software choice make a difference, eg, burning with Nero Vs something else? Thanks in advance. |

I've burnt heaps of different cds and they all play fine in the ute, I'd be having a look at your burner.

i have heard of issues with cd-rw's
there was a case of someone on here having trouble with cd r's a while back i think. ejecting and putting back in a couple of times seemed to work for him |

Interseting. I have the same issue. But found out by sheer luck that Verbatim CD-R's work fantastically. No crackling or background noise and have good sound quality as well.. I tried TDk but they crackled a lot as well.

i have never had a problem with TDK cd's
Thats all i use in my BA and on my CDJ's

My car must be a s***, coz it plays pretty much any burnt CD I throw at it (I swap and change brands)... But then when I burn CD's I write them under 16x

Maybe its the write spped that effects the playback then..because i just tried a TDK at 16 write speed and it worked perfect.

Got a Bf with premo! I use TDK and have no drama's! As said between the guys the burnspped and system settings all affect the final product!
