I need to replace the central lock actuator on the front-left door on my ED.

Is the actuator the same for all doors? Like is there a single electromagnet assembly that is mounted in various ways to lock the doors?

If someone has replaced this with a new part from Ford, how much have they paid?

Second hand?

Any other tricky tips that people may have thought of while replacing this on their car?

You will need to get another front actuator, as the rears have a different number of wires into it.

You will need to remove two rivets to get the actuator out, and it is best to put it back in with 10mm bolts.
