i need your help guys my central locking just seems to be not unlocking it unlocks but locks straight back up sometimes and last nite when a door was open it just kept lokcing and unlocking until the door was shut, any help would be a great help

my dad had the same problem after his car was repaired. his is a wagon and when he got it back they left the wiring loom sitting at the bottom of the water gutter between rear doors and tailgate (wagon) started raining one night and everything went haywire. lights were turning on and off by themselfs stereo had a mind of its own and doors couldnt decide whether they wanted to be locked or unlocked cost us $0 to repair but was a bloody pain in the a** to find

how much is it too replace the actuators? and how hard

It may be only one actuator that is causing the problem. They have two diodes in them and they are just pushed into V slots and can become intermittant and cause the problem. Also they go short circuit and the same prob. I found this doing my upgrade with a secondhand unit, so I took it apart carefully and found a diode shorted. Pulled it out and replaced it with a 1N4001 series diode from DS etc and voila. Biggest prob finding the faulty unit. If u unplug each unit inturn and try the locking/unlocking the prob will stop when faulty unit unplugged.
Hope this gives u some ideas.

Yes the actuators are inside the doors behind the trim. u will see them they will have a link to the door lock and button. u will also find the cable going to a connector which u can disconnect to see if the one ur looking at is faulty.
Good luck I know its time consuming but it may save u money and if u find which one is faulty u have the door apart to replace it anyway.

Below is a picture of my door when I was disassembling it and I have marked out the actuator ( in a green circle ) and rivets to drill out. Also, yes, you can just use a nut & bolt to secure the actuators back in place when you have finished.

My problem, was i would lock the doors, then they would just unlock themselves, the front doors are the masters and generally cause the issue, mine turned out to be dirty plug connections, pull the fornt doors apart and give the connecting plugs a good clean with a small slip of sandpaper, see if it then behaves itself.
