Howdy all,

This afternoon i went to open my car with the keyless entry fob and found that the car would not unlock (the indicators flashed once but not unlocking of doors took place). My drivers side door and drivers side passenger door were locked and the 2 doors on the other side were unlocked (i locked all 4 doors last time i used the car).

I climbed in through the passengers side door to find that the car had a flat battery! Thinking that the central locking wasnt working due to the dead battery i jump started the car and still the central locking would not work.

When i press the central locking button on the dash or on my fob it makes a clicking noise from behind the dash and the interior light dims but it does not lock/unlock any of the doors.
I am also unable this whole time to open my drivers side door! neither with the key or from inside the car!

I am thinking something has jammed up in the drivers door since i cant open it up at all and it is somehow draining the battery.

Im not sure if it makes a difference either but since i bought the car (6 months ago) the little lock knob on the inside of the drivers door has always stayed down.

What is the problem do you think??

try grabbing the interior door handle and opening

on all fords opening it by the inside handle unlocked or locked it should usually unlock itself..

check all ur fuses, CRT fuse i think.. runs smart lock interior lighting and the HU. check that 1 its a red 10amp fuse.

if u dont know how to tell a dead fuse just have a look at it it should be a clear color and see if both sides connect in the middle

also ur battery could be f**k. get a new 1

opening the door from the inside doesnt work either. i am yet to get the drivers door open!!

i dont see how it can be the battery when it still does the same thing when the car is running though?

ill also check that fuse. cheers

i got my drivers door open eventually. and pulled all the door skins off to find that the actuator in drivers side passengers door has short circuited itself.

i disconnected it and tested it out. it no longer dims the light but it still does not operate any of the other doors!!

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!! lol i am literally pulling my hair out...

help please!!

ok so here is the update.

i went down and picked up 2 new door motors from the wreckers (drivers and door behind drivers)

plugged them in and it worked!!!! for like 1 minute........

NOW what is happening is everytime i press the lock button on my fob the indicators flash twice and the horn beeps a few times (as if a door is open and im trying to lock it). there is no movement from any of the motors at all either.
there is meant to be a constant voltage to the drivers motor right? 12v??

any help would be great thanks heaps!!

ps. does anyone have a wiring diagram for a blue el xr6 BEM/BCM?
