Can you confirm that shift alert is available on all BA MKII XR clusters?

Cant 100% confirm, but would be willing to try it on yours to try and confirm.

I reckon it's a pretty good chance.

That's when the eeprom version had a major version number change. The BA MkII cluster was where the 2-byte options field started for DSC and HDC. The theory is that the Territory introduced all these new features into the IC, so that when the MkII came out they just rolled those changes into the MkII, but didn't actually use the DSC jewel light until the BF.

I have also been told that the FPV shift-chime feature was first introduced on the MkII.

So stack that all up and the odds are quite good, but not yet confirmed. I myself have a MkII Fairlane cluster in the shed I've been thinking about trying for years, but never really got my eeprom tool to work to give it a go....

Matt's far better at that stuff than me anyhow!

I'd be interested in giving it a go.
What's the worst thing that could happen?!

Worst case scenario is that speed alert doesnt work. It requires the cluster to be stripped, eeprom removed and reprogrammed.

Is it a 1hr or half a day job?

By reprogramming the eeprom are you pretty much loading the FPV dash settings on the BA Mk2 XR one?

You should buy one of Matts fancy backgrounds while you're there so he can program your cluster for the 8000rmp/270kmh settings........
