I have a 1997 Ford Falcon EL S/Wagon and its the 6 seater with the bench seat in the front with the column shift. is there a way to change the seats to have 2 bench seats in the front and put the centre console in?

You probably could but will require a lot of work. But i don't understand why you would want to do this in the first place.

I done this modication to my EA Sedan years and years ago, picked up a complete S-Pac interior from a rolled EA, and just the old seats, front and rear, and bolted the new front seats straight into the same floor pan. Back in those days, the floor pans where exactly the same, between column and floor shifted cars. Lift up the carpet/rubber mat, and there should _hopefully_ be factory bolt holes near the tranny tunnel. All I done after putting the S-Pac interior was a change of information (Blue Slip) at the RTA. While this is not completely necessary, I done it so all of my paperwork is always in order, and more importantly come insurance claim time. All they done at the RTA is change the number of legally allowable people in the car at any one time.

As far as the bolt holes being in your 1997 Falcon, Ford Australia may have stopped this by that stage. I know for a fact that the floor pans for at least the BA series are completely different between column and floor shift cars, and engineer’s reports are need.

Hope this help’s.

Regards,

Holocaust

I changed the bench seat in my AUII to buckets, the center console just bolts in too, the holes should all be there for it....
