Hi all
Found out today that I need to fit a couple of child restraint bolts to the Maverick to pass engineering now the twin cab chop is done.
Me not exactly being the parenting type have no idea whats available or where to get them from.
I need one that will nount in the vertical axis so I can fit it to my reinforcing in the rear wall.
Any ideas?

Check with the clowns that sell baby seats, i believe there is legislation that states they must be installed by an approved installer ( including the huge cost of the installation), so they may be able to help.

Also, look at whats available factory fitted to other vehicles. If it is registered as a commercial vehicle does it need one, IE most vans dont have them.
Maybe look at the people mover market as well, things like taragos, and the Kombi vans.

Yeah I was under the impression that being a catagory MA (commercial) vehicle that it didnt need them.
But seeing as though I have changed it it has to have them.
Stupid but has to be done.

That sounds awesome Ash.
I will be needing 2 to pass.
So the Ford ones mount to the rear firewall of the utes directly behind the seat?
The issue I have is I dont have a flat area like a parcel shelf to play with , I just have the vertical bracebars for the rear firewall.

Nah didnt say.
Ill give the high tensile bolt with Nylocs and washers a crack and see if it slips through.
If not Ill have to get nutserts.
The bolt will be stronger but. Stupid laws.
My children sit in the back of a ute on a leash and bark at the passing cars , and no sensible parent would give me their kids to mind.
Dunno why I even need the bolts.........................
