well i would guess at saying they are probably gummed up with dust and hand grease and other yukky s**t... time to take it out, rip it apart and clean it out.

You'll probably be the first one to do it though.....

Possibly dirty contacts, maybe carbon buildup. Quite common on most switches at some stage. Some are better sealed than others though

Ive never had problems with my CC, but I dunno if you know, there are certain areas on the huge buttons that are easier to press than another... forexample, to the right of the button, instead of to the left... maybe its the operator?

Cheers

haha yeah, i've worked that out.. its just each time i get a service there is a big thing on the bottom "climate control switch faulty" and the guy who services my car owns one similar.. so he'd know. its just extremely difficult sometimes for example the ambient button.. i have to stop and push with all my might and wiggle and wiggle and then only sometimes it works... my car is a early 95 model.. maybe its just something with age? or missuse from a previous owner..

Its real annoying taking apart the cc, did it once coz i thought it would be possible to change the filter in it for a blue one....Didnt work out too well.

Was very worrying in some instances though, thought i broke it more than a few times. if your gna take it apart, take it slow. :?
