I got a set of EF Fairmont seats from Happy a while back, they are in excellent condition but the leather is very dirty. Like oil and grease from the skin of filthy humans.
I'm trying to get the leather clean like on the top of the head rests. I've tried Meguires Leather Cleaner/Conditioner but it doesnt seem to move any of the caked on grime. Is there another product that works miracles on leather, or is it a case of clean it ten thousand times and use more elbow grease. Surely by now there must be some great product that works well. Anyone seen a product called 5 star interior cleaner?
I've just been told that works well. Hard to friggin find I bet. noisuf are you serious about Palmolive dishwashing liquid or you just f**k around? |

If Aurora98 doesn't reply, ask him - IIRC he does cover leather in his detailing sticky, and he did reply to another thread a while back on leather cleaning.

just gotta watch out coz those cleaners remove all oils etc and thats wat stops the leather from cracking....so if you do use a multi purpose cleaner (ie not leather specific) make sure u treat it with that Meguirs leather conditioner cream on it afterwards

Timmeh you might want to check with happy and find out what sort of stains are on the seat, they might be Happys special stains and no amount of cleaning will get rid of these, ask his Mum about his sheets

I was being sarcastic. I'm not selling them. I just need to clean them up. Then they go in the XR8 and the XR8 interior gets retrimmed with bigger side bolsters and new material and then gets put back in the car.
