In the BA, whenever I push the front windscreen buttom for the fan, AC automatically comes on. Now I know AC is supposed to defog the window quicker but its a real pain in the a** when its like 3 degrees in the car. Is there a way of disabling this gay feature at all?

Yeah the AC is meant to come on to dry the air, also the air will be the temp you set it at.

E-series climate is the same....no way of changing it im afraid...not as far as I know anyhow...
