When I press the 50/50 button in either EB or EF the heating or aircon which eva is on I notice the temp is half of what it is when having it selected on feet or face?

I think you are talking about the bi level mode?
In the Falcons since XD at least the Face/Floor mode is a weird one, it pumps the conditioned air to the floor, and outside air to the face vents. Guess the logic is you can keep warm in the car but not get drowsy by having cool outside air blowing on your face.

Thats what I think no other car I have driven has warm air to the feet and cool air up top.
