Ive got a prob with my climate control on my EB II Fairmont Ghia. The fan wont turn off! Even when I switch the ignition off the fan keeps going but it redirects itself from the front vents in the dash, to the windscreen vents. The only way I can stop it is by unplugging a connection behind the glovebox that leads to the fan motor? (I think thats it). Any ideas?

Mate it is without a doubt the fan speed controler. My Fairmont did the same thing about a month ago. It was about 80 dollars from the wreckers. It is located behind the gloce box and the fan speed controler is a silver alloy box looking thing. Its only held in by a couple of screws and was a bit fiddly to get out but the whole job took about 10mins. A temporary way to get the fan to turn off when you turn the car off is to quickly start then turn off the engine. It worked on mine. Hope this helps.
