then you have the mid series bem which means you also have mid series loom - not from a fairmont which is high series ... they have three plugs on bem not two ... which also would explain why your dimming isn't working correctly. All the Climate Control vehicles are high series. Well that would be my best guess from the info you've given...

Ahhhhhh ok tha would make more sense.....but if I have a mid series loom, why is there a climate control connector on it if they only came in high series??

And yet another problem....none of the indicators on the instrument panel light up eg. rear demistor, battery, etc....the smartlock one flashes, the handbrake one works, seems very strange...
And the bulb behing the ODO LCD doesnt come on either...man this is f**k.... My BEM has 3 connectors. PArtt number is 96DA-14k144-AB BLUE |

EF and EL looms are different. EF high series has an extra plug, the EL high series does not. So I guess they'd fit ok.

good luck ... you will need to shell out for a new receiver/dryer for the air cond so be prepared for that!

Why?

onec the gas is out of the system air gets in (obviously ) and the dryer is f**k and has to be replaced or it doesn't work. It is designed to take moisture out of the air cond system when it is under pressure and gassed up - obviously if the system is compromised (ie ungassed) air (and moisture) will get into it!!
