im confused... do you have to take the whole dash board out just to swap to a climate control module?

its not just a process of swapping the module to get the CC working - you need to swap a lot more!

Yes you need to remove the entire dash back to the windscreen. Look at the photos.

Im considering doing this to my EL XR6....but $350 is a bit more than I want to spend at the moment....
Reckon it would be a nice little project to have going!

HOw much effort does it take to pull the dash off etc?

its a big job - not hard, just time consuming. But it is surprisingly easier than you would think. The photo's make it look worse than it really is - lol the amount we ripped off my car and it still started first pot!! :p

So do some snooping around, I collected all the parts plus loom for about a third of that price.
