Following the tutorial on installing climate control, i've had a few problems. All the components are mounted in fine, I just have a few questions about the wiring...
1) the Blend Control Motor and a Vacuum solenoid wirng is all the same as the guide, however, the Main Climate control computer, has different wiring all together. 1) Lower Connector 2) Upper Connector The Fan Control Box thing, Most of the wiring is what the tutorial says, however it has this one extra blue wire: Anyone know where it goes? The Climate control gear is out of a Series 1 EA Fairmont Ghia and is going into a Series 1 EA S-Pac. Thanks...

Ok I figured it out, Now I was wondering...There seems to be 4 main wires that run through the entire electric system (yellow, Red/Green, Yellow/Black and Black/Yellow) I THINK that Red/green is constant 12v, and Yellow/Black only supplies 12v when the engine is on? also, Can I run a whole clinmate control system off the Yellow/Black line, it is an Spac, and would be taking the place of the air Conditioning Control Panel thing. Any other tips I should take? I've read the technical document thouroughly, and it is missing a few things (Like Te wiring of the 8 pin White connector on the Climate Control computer.)

are you refering to the tech doco on this site - that is only about the ef/el series so you would have to adapt a few things for yours...

So what have you converted over? You know youve got to swap over the whole heater box unit from the Fairmont?
If youve swapped everything over including wiring then you shouldnt have any extra plugs/wires

It would be easier to just go get a fairmont wiring harness and plug it all in

Pretty much i've got all the components in (Vacuum control solenoid, converted the blend door pully system to the motor, and got the fan control box in) I've wired them all up to the climate control box, my only concern is getting the thing wired up to power...the standard air conditioning box grabs it's power from the Yellow/Black power, and the Climate control grabs it from the Red/Green line...I'm just wondering if the Yellow/Black line is constant power, or if it only supplies 12V when the car is on?
