Hey guys i wanna put some sleeves on the globes in the cluster in my EA. i took the cluster out this morning and had a look behind but i was to scared to touch anything. I am wondering what do to access the globes. I saw some black and blue knob things that look like they are for globes but i am not sure. Or do i have to open up the cluster

Any pointers.

Cheers

i thinks its the blue ones u twist them and they come out.
what cluster do u have?
mid series will have 4 blue ones along the top
the low series will have 3 along the top.
so just twist the blue things and they will come out

You do not need to open the cluster up to change the globes. Those blue and black thing are indeed the globe holders. They lock in like a bayonet light bulb, a small twist is all they need to come out. Once out you change the globe in them and put them back in.

I am in the process of replacing mine.

I have the mid series cluster and have just done 2 of the dial lights using red replacement leds and have replaced the green indicator bulbs with white leds.

They are easy as to do and can't wait till next week to finish them off

yeah replacing with LEDs went in the too hard basket so i am thinking of just putting red silicon sleeves on the globes. I think that would be easier but LEDs would be the ultimate way to go.

Cheers fellas.

what do you mean the too hard basket, I bought replacement led tupe globes, they pushed into the bulb holders and all done

There is an Autobarn up here in Brissy that keeps them on the shelf, $9.99 for 2

I thought when you put LEDs in you need to like solder a resistor and s**t like that.

Ah...them sleeves are $2 for five, and do the same job.
