dont have a spare BEM so I would rather just test the current BEM if possible, hence why I asked for a wiring diagram

have you got a gregories manual for the car? they have them in the back, i have one somewhere but i dont have a scanner, im pretty sure there is wire diagrams on fordmods somewhere

its probably much easier if you get another bem from a wrecker, rather than stuffing around with testing your current one.
they are a cheap part !

can i use any E-series BEM? does it need to be high series?

umm... i dont think so, i think on these smartlock is only a light, so on a car without smartlock it will just not have any power to that light - no difference
|

I assume you want a pic of the dash without the lights working? because i have pics from when they were working but cant see the point in showing you that.
The BEM's are part of the smartlock system in smartlock cars so i'm not sure if i can use a smartlock one |

i think it will only effect the cars using a smart lock computer, as you can use smartlock clusters in non smartlock cars
|

yer possibly, but the smartlock system relies on two things, the ignition barrel sending a signal to the BEM then onto the ECU so the smartlock BEM's may be configured differently?
