Im thinking of setting up an power inverter pack to my boot so I can power a coffee machine and other items when I go places.

How is this to fit and what else would I need to consider?

What kind of costs would I need to expect?

What kind of inverter would I need to look for?

Is this a good value inverter?

Also would you go for a manual or auto style coffee machine?

Not big enough.
You wont run much of a coffee machine on 1200W. Thats only 5 amps. It might just run but it will be constantly on the edge and very prone to tripping out on overload.
2400W minimum. This would give you the standard 10A that you get out of a normal household wall socket and a bit of headway so the unit isnt working on its maximum all the time.

Thanks for the tip mate. You reckon something like this would be better suited?

well i was going to agree but i'll state the following:

Go and trade the car in on a salon and some panties you fekin homo. Mickey D's apparently have 'pro trained' Bar-i-sta's or whatever the homo equivalent to a real barrister is to make coffees far better than you could for the money you wish to outlay....

Apologies in advance...

you are right. A Barista makes coffee. A barrister is a lawyer you t***. If you are going to insult someone, at least get your terms right.

To the OP - I guess you would need to know the specs of the coffee maker, along with the other items you wish to run off the inverter. Also, how many of these items are you likely to run at the same time. If you are only looking at the coffee maker, find out what power it uses, and get the correct inverter from there. I do not have a coffee maker at home, but I am sure that they would use more than the 2000W that my kettle does.

wow you really are a total tool....... if your going to insult someone you should really do a little more than agreeing with them.. i don't understand. Perhaps you need a coffee maker in your car to...
They also make instant coffee for men now.

Listen, technical posts go in technical forums, not the s**t that you are dribbling. If you cannot comprehend that, f**k off then.

id say have a look around the 4x4 forums, people have been installing inverters and powering high volt appliances for years on solar.... but id say that wouls be a good place to start looking

yer and social skills like that make forums like these.... leave your skirt at the door i was only having a dig, hence the apologies in advance.

simple answer is you have to match the inverter with the appliance. Obviously a 1000watt unit won't run a 2000watt appliance, regardless of what it is. Do your homework specific to your needs, don't ask broad questions. Apparently i'm not the only one who's unsure of how much a coffee machine draws..
