Hi all,
has anyone else had this phenomena.
Cold water from A/C coming from dash into footwell..

I can only assume that the A/C pipes or condenser or something is getting cold and the air is condensing and I end up with a lot of water at my feet.

OR - is it something sinister that I need to look at.

WHY! Why is this happening.......

Please feel free to educate me..........

Thanks!

Yeah its the drain hose from the AC. You can unblock it by sliding under the car, left hand side of firewall you will find a hole with a tube sticking out of it.
Use a length of electrical flex and carefully push up hole, don't use anything sharp or you may damage the tube.

Thanks. That sounds like a reasonable reason. I will endevour to unblock the tube in due course.

To confirm - is the tube a tiny 3mm tube thereabouts. It is the only tube hanging down on the passenger side near the firewall!!!!!

No more like 10mm, and you wont see much of it it only just sticks out of the firewall.

There may not be a tube there...mine is missing...there will be a small hole in the balck carpety stuff directly under where the pipe should be if it is missing...its in the curve of the firewall about halfway down...I just found mine was missing last night as there was a lot of clear cold water dripping under my car, and found it was coming from there...just the aircon doing its job! :D

That makes even more sense. The tube is probably not poking out of the firewall and just dumping its load inside, excuse the expression.

Very informative!

CheeRS,
Mark.
