Hi all, I am just wondering if the auto shifter from a VT-VY commodore would be able to fit my AU? It looks much nicer and sleeker than the huge ford one. Do i need to modify it at all to do it and how?

Regards Jarrett!

I know its sad wanting to put a commodore part in a falcon, but the shifters look so much nicer. Ill have a look at the momo ones never seen one.

I've been wanting to try it for a while now. Mate wouldn't let me try his from his VT as he was selling it, and I didn't want to fork out the moeny for one without first knowing it'll fit. I reckon it will though.
As for Holden parts in a Ford, it's not like it's noticable (and it doesn't say Holden on it or anything, it's just a black shifter handle), and it looks better I reckon - it's similar to the BA auto ones.

Nope dont think it can be done. wanted to fit one to my fairlane but then i noticed that the comodores auto transmission stalk is oval so potenialy could be modified but ur probably better to source one off a magna or somthin.

But AU shifters don't fit on E-Series cars without mods.
