hey guys. have sourced myself some auto sports pedals for the g6e. after a closer inspection and a discussion with a mechanic from ford, it seems there is alot involved in installing them. the brake pedal bolts on similar to a ba/bf so thats done already. however to do the accelerator requires the whole arm to come out, and to get to the bolts for it apparently includes loosening of the brake booster and moving forward, dropping the steering colum, and nigh on removing the pedal box to get access. ford rate the job at 3 hours labour! a far cry from the ba one! i asked ford what it would cost and i got told $122.50 an hour, making it $370 odd to install some look nice bits! whilst i understand they have a business to run and i dont expect them to work for peanuts, that seems a bit steep to me. hell im even supplying the parts, not buying them. so what im looking for is a competent mechanic that can do the job and wont charge me something ridiculous. anyone know of such a place or person i could contact?
