Okay...NC Fairlane, i wanna move the trip computer and Climate Control to the glovebox....Is it gunna be a hard move? i assume the trip computer is simply a matter of extending cables, but the cc....is there hoses attached to the back? can they be extended and still work? Im mounting a centre channel and 7' monitor in that spot where they were but wanna know how hard the moves gunna be?

if its a case of just extending the cables wouldnt the centre concole be a more convinient location?

lots of wires, and dunno about the cli control module, but the low spec model has several vacuum tubes you'd have to extend, dunno if they'd still work.

From memory, all of the vacume tubes going to the cc unit come from the heater box, so if you are moving it closer, they shouldnt be a problem.

Yep, all but 2 go to the heater box. The other 2 go through the firewall on the passengers side.. so you'll infact have left over hose. You'd be best to cut the hose down to size and rejoin, as you dont want surplus hose hanging around and kinking.

I'm not sure if the NC's have a line from the vacuum reservoir to the CC unit, but if they do, you'll just need to extend it, as this line comes from behind the drivers front guard.

Sounds like an intersting mod!

Ive got a spare dash here at home for my eb, and im starting to fibreglass it. Never done it before, might be interesting to say the least

That being said, the NC looks nice. Would you have any pictures?

Now I think I can help you with finding someone to do some fibreglassing for you. There is a Fodmods member by the name of BOUNCN that has just gotten into fibreglassing and in actually fact I think he has a graphic of a job he did on an EL or NL dash

Hope this will be of some use to you

Jason.

well... i know a few people will knock me for this, but i am not running any climate control anymore. After thinking bout it for a while i decided that climate wasnt that important to me, and i really wanted a clean engine bay, so off went the clomate and everything associated with it, including the air con. the current plan is to mod the top of the dash to accept an eboost and a set of dakota digital in the guage pod, reshape the outside of it, not too much but just to show it has been done, then widen the lower part of the dash, ie. move the handbrake to floor, and fit a 10'' monitor...ive measured up on a tock dash and it all fits, im just waiting for a good eb dash from the wreckers and im into it

pfft. no knocking coming from here. Its your car, and you are the one that has to drive it!
If you don't like the CC and want to piss it off, go for it!
