Hello, I am only on my L plates so I barely drive my EL falcon at night time, so it isn't urgent. My instrument cluster has possibly the most dull lights. I can't even see how many kms I have travelled the little digital screen is so dark in the night.

I don't exactly understand the tech documents on this kinda stuff.

Can someone please write down a detailed response on how to replace the lighting in my instrument cluster?? Greatly appreciated. Cheers, Zane.

Even though it's about changing the colour of the lighting in the dash {DESCRIPTION} explains how to remove the cluster to gain access to the globes behind the odometer etc. Also doing a search on here for 'cluster lights' or something along those lines should yield some results.

Sounds like you may have a few bulbs out ,but the dash dimmer is the small plastic bit to the left of the headlight switch (broken off on lots of ef el's) if so remove the headlight switch knob "careful they break " you will then see the piece behind ,if you need more info pm me

Thanks for the replies, yea I think it's just the globes, as my switch is broken but I can still move it.

I just checked then, it makes the lights a little brighter but the top left hand side is still a bit dim and the odometer didn't change -.-
Also when I checked then my light knob fell off and it turns out is is broken so now I need a new one lol

is it a high series car where you actually have to hold the switch up for a period of time to brighten the lights? Then when you let it go it returns to the centre?

Cheers,
Tim
