I hope this is the rite area....

G-day, Ive got a 1994 ED XR6, I managed to get an ED cruise control system
from an identical wrecked 1994 ED XR6. My car build date is 4/94 and the
wrecked ED XR6 build date is 5/94. Everything seem to go in fine except the
electronic cruise control module that goes under the console. The wrecked
XR6 had the connector under the console. But my XR6 does not have this
connector. :?

Is it possible that the module may have a different location based on the build dates and harness updates during production?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

No.

All EBII and ED's with cruise had the speed control unit under the centre console.

Chase the wiring back to the drivers side and then up the sill to the dash connector. If you can't find it, you'll need to scavenge a body loom (or at least the front r/h quarter) from a car with cruise and add that section of the loom into your body loom. It's really easy to do, just make sure you get the connector from the donor car, or at least make note of the pin positions for when you plug it into your loom connector.

Definately easiest if you can just get that part of the loom in its entirety to work off tho.

That's how I did it many moons ago to my EBII XR8 when i did the full fairmont ghia conversion with climate control, cruise, trip etc......

Thanks mate, I did call the guy regarding the donor xr6. I'll be getting
the body harness from that car with the connections.

I just didnt fancy pulling out my whole interior.

Again thanks for the help.

You shouldn't need to mate.

Start with the drivers side kick panel, sill/carpet retainers, seatbelt cover and centre console...... you should be able to make it happen with just those bits removed.....

Good luck!
