Hello,

Today whilst turning the steering wheel from lock to lock (just replaced power steering pump), the cruise control Set + and Set - case fell off.

I had a closer inspection of that cover and yep, the clips are broken.

Does anyone know what needs to be done or required to do so I can get a replacement.

A trip to the wrecking yard is likely to keep costs down....What tools are needed?

All info / advice helps.

Cheers, Bondy

Mad2

Ok, thanks for letting me know.

All I need to know now is the step procedure of going about it, I don't recall seeing how this is done in Gregory's N 274 Falcon AU 1998-2002 Manual.

all i remember doing was disconnecting battery & leaving car alone for about 10 mins [to minimize airbag deployment]. removing plastic plugs either side of steering wheel [under the switches your asking about], then with the 'special' ford tool [it's a 5 not a 6] undo the screws/bolts [one either side & name of the tool escapes me sorry]. you can just move the airbag outa ya way [or unclip, your choice] & then remove the said switches [hope this is all correct  ]. fitting should be reverse of removal??

Mad2,

Thanks for the additional info, picture does help.

I'll have to see if I have a 5 hex / star with a hollow centre. I'm sure I have purchased a set last year but will double check.

Thanks for your help.
