you dont need a new wheel - they are separate. but don't go to ford, cause they'll only sell you the entire set-up. try xr8 dismantler or another wrecker around you - that'd be your best bet.

wouldn't be cheap though i'd imagine :(

Yer, just grab some new ones from a wrecker; they can be picked up for next to nothing, try FTG auto salvage or grant walker parts also in FTG or there abouts..?

i forgot to mention before that if you pick up second hand ones and thats even if they can be removed without snapping them, with the age they are they have probarbly already gone brittle. my newly repaired buttons cost a whopping $5!!! but only needed a small amount of that tube hehe. they dont rattle about now.

Yep, ive heard of a few people taking the buttons off n putting them back on only to have them break in their hands!
Ive had both sets of mine off about 10 times, no probs.
Just gotta be lucky i guess.
Try to fix em 1st tho as he said, costs barely anything n its not gonna take long to see if it worked,

I got a set of AU buttons floating round somewhere, I can try and find em for ya, dunno it they will fit though, but you may be able to salvage something from them, they cost me nothing, so in turn they will cost you nothing and if they work for you all the better, as far as i know they are in perfect working order, I have no need for em as I am in between fords at the moment.. let me know.. I'll try and dig em up for you.

Didn't the AU's have radio controls on the left side?

i have same and not fixed for months as too dear....still works though just not "ergonomic"

i was told have to buy whole left and right set with entire crap for $200 genuine or $80 second hand

and then you don't know how old and brittle they are

Also i have been told by several sources to get the black ones as the colored ones have turned out to be more brittle.

damn that cappoucino interior
