Cut out a section of my dash yesterday to fit in the new dvd player when it folds out, just made a backing with left over plastic from old interior, put it all together, sanded it and resprayed it again.

Here's what it looks like so far.
Getting custom interior done next month, so i'll be perfecting the cut out when i get onto finishing the interior respray.

You should have bought a screen not a fold out one.
then all you would have had to do was buy a double did radio surround and done.
Now you have no center air con and what will it look like when the screen is folded away? looks tacky imo but well done for creativity

i can't stand screens that can't fold back in.
they annoy me.

also, if you have a screen where the old cd player and ashtray was, fitting it in there is pointless because you have to angle to screen a lot to see it, plus you're gear stick sits right smack in front

Ok mate if your happy with what you got then thats good, i know what i have seen and there is no issue at all, are you gona watch a movie and drive at the same time?
Gear stick is not an issue, in the EF's i have seen
most people use it to change songs (coz its touch screen) and watch a movie once every six months

That's a valid point. Plus it can be safely stowed away from prying eyes when you leave the car parked.

the handbrake wire is wired to the ground wire, so it does play while i drive, but i don't watch videos much when driving, i just have the screen open as you can control the cd with the touch screen.

for me, anything lower would of just p****d me off, haha.

Slightly off topic, but the colour of your interior looks s**t hot.
