Geez its a bit hard to explain something that takes so many different approaches.....
Well, first you scan your original dials on your pc, then you edit the rough copy in photoshop, by that i mean go over all the black bits and orange and white marks so its "freshened up" Then you print it out how it is and compare to your dials to see if the sizing is right, if not, make note how much wider or shorter the pic has to be to line up with your originals, then resize the pic in photoshop by playing with the width and height settings till you can print out a copy of the design which lines up perfectly with your original dials. Once you get the sizing right, you use the 'magic wand' in photoshop and click on the basic design, it will all light up. Then open up a wallpaper or whatever and highlight the area you want to 'copy' then 'paste into' the dial design which is lit up by the magic wand, the pic will sit behind the number, marks etc. |

While that is convenient i would firstly print out that design and make sure it lines up perfectly with your dials, as ive used another design on this forum and it was slightly out at the temp and battery gauges.

Use the magic wand to highlight the inside of the "0".
Ok what you do is right click the stamp symbol and put it on "clone stamp tool" Then you adjust the size so its a bit bigger than the spot you want to fill, also make sure it has a low tolerance which means the edges wont fade out heaps. Then you pick an section in the design or wallpaper that would look good in the blank space. To pick this area hold "alt" (or ctrl cant emember which one) and click the mouse, that will choose a section to use, then then click inside the "0" to fill it with the chosen section Be aware you have to repeat each stamp invidually for each area you want to fill because, well youll see what i mean |
