Hey guys, havent really been on for quite some time
bit hard working 2 jobs and only touching my car on a sunday

anyway never mentioned this before as i only decided on it just before christmas.

Im getting my centre console covered with gold/tan suede and didnt know what to do with the EF/EL cup holdeers

Thought about spraying them the colour of my car but i was afraid of them scratching when ever i lifted and dropped the cup holder arms

so i came to the conclusion of modifying it and using BA cupholders.
Seeing as im going to use the BA window switches in my car i didnt need switches in the middle anymore.

The switches will be going on the right of the dash where the vent is supposed to be (hardly ever use that little thing and i know i can always change it back later) and i will have to add a switch to the front passenger door as they wont be able to reach the switches on the other side.

used a soldering iron to melt the plastics and stick bits together, which are just as strong as the original pieces. Then bought some filler and smoothened everything out. A lot of mucking around though trying to get the shape and pieces how i needed to have them.
Probably 2-3 days work going back & forth to get everything right

anyway here are some pics of what the console is looking like and what my interior will look like...

Yeah i finished the console
I actually went back and re-done it to cover up all the gaps because i wasnt too happy with the pics above.

I dropped it off at the upholsterer 2 weeks ago with my door trims & under dash plastic parts

now just waiting for them to get done, but he had about 4 weeks of work before he could do mine.

The seats are done, they were done a year ago
thats pretty much what they look like

you can see them here:
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=
but obviously im not using the console in the pictures anymore
but i still have all the gold parts & lid

all im doing now is the dash & door trims as i changed my design slightly
