So, I'm looking at an ad for DA LTD seats and I was wondering, how much heavier are the electric seats? Also, can you take the seats off the base and fit them to a non electric base, without any modification?

If its just for the cushiony lounge seats have a look at a non electric set, they would probably be cheaper and less muck around trying to swap the rails over..

Well, that is a good point, but the price is ridiculously cheap. It includes all seats plus door trims - All in really good condition.
So seeing as it's cheap, it'd be worth while going to the extra trouble of converting them. Do you happen to know how much trouble it'd be to convert them?

LTDs (except the earliest ones) all had electric seats.

Fairlanes had the same seats but not electric.

There are slight variations, but all are cushiony lounge chairs LOL.

Im not 100% on whats involved in swapping rails, but they will still bolt in anyway and you can just leave the electric part unplugged. Thats if they happen to be in a comfortable position for you.

They are pinned to the seat though from memory so you may have to cut and weld the rails.

Probably best to flip them over if you can look and see what they have.

Keep in mind if you are bolting them together the sliding areas of the rails, I fitted a set of aftermarket rails for some sports seats and put the olts right in the middle of the rail path and they couldnt slide fully haha.
