I am not sure they best way around the following predicament and hoping someone can give me a hand.
On my old EB2, the door lock/key barrell has slowly been getting more sloppy for years but now it's at a point where when I turn it anti-clockwise to unlock it's just not "clicking" and unlocking. I have to unlock it from the passenger side. Can you get new/reco locks modified/cut to suit your key? Pretty amatuer question I know but I've never had to deal with it before....

I'm pretty sure you can get secondhand locks re-keyed to suit your key. Best to talk to a lock smith.

I believe you can do such but as a possible temporary solution you could always flip the barrels around, atleast saves unlocking from passenger side.

i thought i was the only one that looked funny unlocking my car from the passengers side
 mine are so far gorn i think im gonna have to use a remote key forever..

my drivers side doorlock is beginning to s**t itself aswell. i have to put the key in and pull the key itself up then turn it, but now its barely working for me about 1 in 20 attempts work. im thinking of pulling the lock out this weekend and having a look. but the suggestion before about swapping the locks over seems like a great idea
im interested in seeing about a locksmith refitting keys. |
