Only required if changing the dial faces and is covered in the docs and other threads.

[ Remove the Orange Backing on EL cluster needles, by carefully scraping at the back of the needle.] This is in the tec doc

Im not having ago at you, i did do reading and had not found what i wanted to konw.
It dont say if there is only one position the needle can go back on so im guessing that there is only one way. but still wanted to konw for sure from some one that has done this mod :?:

Try looking at the Custom Dials doc and reading forum topics about that subject.

Ok for the lights, part number 47902 or watever it is, YOU DONT NEED TO REMOVE THE NEEDLES!!!

Trust me I ahve done this to 4 Falcons without removing hte needles. They are polar which means the negative strip on the bulb needs to be in contact with the negative strip on the cricut board of the cluster. The stock lights re non-polar it doesnt matter which way you put them in.

Cool thank you for your help, I will try it with the backing on the needles and if the needles dont shine blue i will take the red backing off them and put white paint on.

Just a quick question quys.
Once you do the led conversion, does the dimming feature still work? ie. can you still switch between a bright and a not so bright dash?
