lesson to everyone else. Get yourself a multimeter - even a cheapier will do. And be sure to check and doubelcheck your connections.

Before fully removing your cluster, test each bulb location with your multi (it'll have to be plugged in and lights on). Mark which side is + and which -, unplug it.

Then make your LED mod carefully. Before hooking it back up, check that there are no shorts on your new 'bulbs'.

Hopefully this (lengthy) rocedure will stop someone else frying their BEM or cluster.
