Hey guys (and girls), after reading everything on how to change the faceplates in EF/EL dashes i decided to try and do it in my ED. I have pictures of the whole conversion if anyone is interested. I couldn't afford paying $70 off of ebay for them so mine arent as good quality. I started off with a stock dash for an ED not an Spac one so i had to change the dash over with one i found out at the tip...with 100,000km's less then wat i had ;) Basically pictures speak 1000words so there you go. One thing i would like to do next is the Blue Led conversion but hey, this mod was rfee for me and i think it makes it 100% better! Sorry bout the quality my camera fone doesnt do it justice...

That looks a million times better - any type of dash mod is nice!! we all wish that people wouldnt charge such high prices for the ones on eBay cause they prob cost about 5 dollars to make and another 5 to post so they are just robbing so many people!

its real easy dude hey. The way i learnt how to do it properly was to get an old one and smash it so i cood c exactly wat tabs and screws are needed to be removed, pressed or wateva lol. But hey i think it looks ok. I like the tickers da best. It lights up half a ticky wing everytime i go around a corner :D

hey, just a real dumb question, has anyone ever thought of going to a junkyard, and pulling apart pieces of cars just for practice.
i mean like, if i were going to pull my dash apart, i would wanna make sure i could get it back together. what better way to practice than on a car that you dont have to pay for..

Dude that is exactly wat i do. I go out to the tip on weekends and take out diffs, clusters, steering wheels anything i can think of just so that i can learn how to pull apart and put back together stuff. and it dont matter if u screw it up either lol

let me get this straight. you put a different odometer reading in your car? one that is 100K less than what your car has actually done? that is illegal.
