i thought about the chrome door handles, but when the door insert is covered in the ivory semi-leather, i might just spray it the same color as the ivory.

personally im just not into them standing out so much, plus nothing else on my interior is chrome.

but i'm leaving those until last to see what i decide when the rest is on.

Or paint them black to match the rest of the door trims and dash.

I am eagerly awaiting some more photos of a nicely done black dash/interior.

A write-up on how you did it and what products you used would be awesome, too.

You have a very nice look car, BLWN, keep it up mate.

They will either be black, or the ivory cream color of the leather.
I'll decide when the leathers in the car and everything's done.

Good to hear man, I will definatelly do a write up on how I went about everything with in the car, what materials, tools and anything else used in the make over.
I'm heading out now to take some photos of the carpet i replaced on the front doors.

Today was a lazy day, and all I did was cut out the shapes for the carpet on the front doors.
Once I had the right shapes, i cleaned the surface and used a quick grab adhesive.

Here's how they turned out.

Next weekend I will be stripping the hole interior out, in preparation for the new seats coming.
I will be re-carpeting the car with black carpet and spraying the center console compartment and everything else that needs to be done.

Seats are due in 2 weeks, so i'm getting very restless!

Okay, so on the weekend i took out the whole interior, seats, dash, carpet, EVERYTHING!
And yes, it sure was fun ripping everything out =]

Today I went to KNOX AUTO CARPETS (highly recommend, great work they do there) and I purchased a 2 piece set to re-carpet the car.
Black of course, was my choice in color.
There wasn't much to it, just put the old one over the top, mark out some holes and corners to be cut with chalk, and cut!

Once all the holes were cut and corners and chunks for handbrake, center console, you get the picture, were done then it was only a matter of laying the carpet!
As it was new carpet, it hasn't settled and tends to be a bit loose and airy, but a trip to bunnings for a role of Velcro fixed that!

Here's a few pictures of the carpet in, still a bit of adjusting to do in the front but its almost done.

Should have the leather material this friday if all goes well, but we all know with cars you're told one day and you'll definatelly have a wait on your hands!
So I hope to have it Friday, and if all goes to plan it will be a big weekend of fitting!

oh really? you got any pics of the tru-fit one?

the one i has is about 98% right.
there's a little bit of room around the console base, but im just going to pad it with more underlay so it fills up.
only a minor problem!

i recommend knox auto carpet 100%

Very sexy, please keep us updated with lots of pics, info etc.

You may well be the one who inspires us all to go for black interiors!

I reckon it would look alot better with the door handles all black though.

i will definatelly keep adding to this post as it gets more and more put in!
i will have a lot of info over the next week or two on here.

and the door handles are the last issue i will be tackling.
i'm not sure if i want them black of the ivory cream that the interior will be!
